We are currently looking for a Programming Executive to select the best and most compelling content from the A+E International Programme Supply Agreement (PSA) in line with the strategy set by the Director of Programming. You will support the Director of Programming and work closely with the Acquisitions Manager and Commissioning Editor to ensuring that deal terms for all new content, acquired and commissioned, is captured, maintained and distributed accurately. The ideal candidate will have experience within a broadcast/production/distribution environment and will have a demonstrable understanding of programme rights and production terminology. You will also be able to build and maintain productive relationships with both external and internal stakeholders. Key responsibilities for this role include: •Maintaining an excellent and thorough working knowledge of A+E Networks UK’s various PSA terms, rights and restrictions, across all territories. •Identify, screen and evaluate potential content from the PSA in line with the programming strategy of the individual channel. •Placing orders for PSA content via the online catalogue. •Liaising frequently and maintain a close and positive working relationship with A+E International regarding all issues and queries relating to PSA content. •Work with the Director of Programming, to manage the PSA budget effectively, ensuring all costs are entered correctly in all the relevant systems. •Work cooperatively with key contacts in the Marcomms team to ensure all PSA content is fully supported with the appropriate assets and information. •Liaising with Reversioning and Compliance at an early and on-going stage about all issues of programme compliance in regard to PSA content. You will also: •Enter all programme deals and rights information into internal scheduling and channel management systems and ensure information is kept up to date. •Communicate major deal terms and programme information to internal stakeholders including legal and business affairs. •Process the delivery of paper assets (synopses, music cue sheets, transcripts, stills, PasC forms etc.) •Work with the Finance team to cross-check programming invoices for sign off in line with internal payment process. •Maintain regular communication channels with Media Services to ensure the timely delivery and co-ordination of assets. •Update Sky music department and Sound Mouse regarding new content and provide music cue sheets as required. •Provide support for original commissions, answering ad hoc queries for original content, sending out producer information packs etc. •Respond to queries from Marcomms, EPG, Sky Stills and any other appropriate stakeholders regarding content.
