The VP, Sales & Distribution, will lead all aspects of Internet and other digital distribution of entertainment content produced by Fox Digital Studio. The VP will also work to build sales through traditional television distribution channels, working both with other Fox distribution groups and independently. Specifically, this position will identify sites that target desirable demographics for each video production, secure distribution on those sites, engage third-party vendors to track and optimize delivery, and work closely with our brand partners and their agencies in planning and execution stages. It will also be critical to optimize processes in order to grow this business. The ideal candidate will possess experience in closing deals and/or managing relationships with site publishers with MCNs, and with YouTube, will have an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to manage the sensibilities of others on both the Fox and client sides. The candidate will have direct experience closing deals with leading video distribution services, traditional television distributors and with advertisers. S/he will have deep knowledge of publishers and business models in AVOD, SVOD, EST and VOD. Responsibilities •Develop distribution and monetization strategy for FDS product, including content produced with branded entertainment partners as well as premium content produced for premium OTT and other video services. •Identify, pitch and close publisher sites to distribute FDS productions. •Collaborate with internal teams to develop plans for delivery of specific FDS productions. •Track distribution strategy performance/analytics and provide regular reports to the team. •Design, negotiate, implement and track media plans against branded entertainment projects. Requires knowledge of various display and video ad units. Ability to calculate media value of PR and earned media. •Conduct research on the branded content/branded entertainment space in particular and the online video space in general to keep the team current on industry developments. •Perform quantitative analysis and reporting on the performance of projects and the effectiveness of media and distribution plans. •Provide general marketing and distribution support for all FDS projects, including non-branded entertainment projects. •Minimum of 3-5 years experience in business development or publisher relations with a digital ad network or digital branded entertainment studio. •Demonstrated success closing online business development deals. •Existing relationships with YouTube, MCNs, ad-supported online publishers. •Experience in working within both large media company and small, hands-on environments. •Excellent written and oral communication skills. •Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required.
