VICE PRESIDENT, CREATIVE DIRECTOR - NICKELODEON Brand(s): Nickelodeon Location(s): New York, NY Function: On-Air Promos Req ID: 8658 Description The Creative Director, Brand Architecture + Image/TV Movies, develops, inspires and leads the Brand et al focused promotion team and is responsible, in collaboration with the Creative Strategy lead and the Director of Production, for the development of innovative and engaging content that delivers on executive and strategic goals for the brand expression on-air and on all other platforms in promotion of Nickelodeon movies, events and other initiatives. Inspires and leads the team, cultivating best-in-class work for on-air architectural/navigational elements, and campaigns for assigned movies, events and series. Responsible for creative management, editorial oversight and execution of all assigned projects, as well as the evaluation of effectiveness/results. Responsibilities •Leads a team comprised of Creative Strategy, Director of Production, Senior Producers, Producers, AP’s and PA’s who focus on delivering innovative and effective creative while delivering on the project scope, budget and time parameters outlined by project stakeholders. •Partners with Design leads, notably SVP/Creative Director, Brand Design to bring unique and fresh brand elements to our air. •Partners with relevant executives to ensure that the work is informed by up-to-date insights and accurate information and anticipates opportunities for coordination, synchronization and integration across multiple platforms, lines of business and departments. •Responsible for building and maintaining relationships with all Nickelodeon departments including all Marketing teams, Production units and creative departments. •In cooperation with Creative Strategy lead, articulates creative plans that meet strategic goals, scope and plan of execution for all work to the SVP, EVP, Executive Team and all other project stakeholders. •Creates a culture that encourages risk taking and places a premium on ideas, creativity and innovation. •Responsible for department’s talent recruitment, development, training and retention. •Responsible for finding and building working relationships with new creative and production vendors, as well as strengthening partnerships with current vendors. •Responsible for developing pool of freelance creatives who can be activated to help with specific projects. •Develops a strong and diverse skill set across the group and ensures that all contributions are valued and fosters overall team career growth. Basic Qualifications •Minimum of 10 years of brand communication experience in on-air promos, advertising, digital, and/or brand consulting •Excellent verbal and written communication skills – and the ability to sell ideas and stories to audiences ranging from kids in our audience to senior executives in our company •Superior conceptual and critical thinking abilities Additional Qualifications •Demonstrated hands-on short-form television production experience (promos, ads, music videos, etc.) •Ability to provide articulate and effective creative notes and other feedback •Proven ability to translate strategic goals into innovative creative •Ability to operate quickly and calmly within a large, complex, high pressure, dynamic environment, while setting and maintaining key priorities Contact:
